The college has a library that has 10,000 books, Including 10 Journals, 5 Magazines, 4 Daily newspapers, and 20 20-bound volumes of Journals and Magazines, The Library consists of a Reading room. The students often visit the library before the commencement of the class hours and during the class hours. So, has to gain knowledge of their subject's general awareness and current affairs. The Central Library of the Institution has an advisory committee, which looks after the proper functioning of the library and fulfills the needs of students and staff in the library. The Principal of the Institution will act as a Chairman for the Library committee the members are drawn from the Science, Commerce, and Arts departments. It also advises on the method of expenditure, library timings, student services, and maintenance of the reading room. The committee will subscribe to competitive Examination magazines, Science Magazines, and Journals in the Periodicals wing of the Library. The library ensures access and security of materials through the non-teaching staff.

The college has got a big playground for the students to play Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Tennicoit, Kabbadi, Shuttle, Ball Badminton, Kho-kho and Chess, etc., every year the college intramurals are conducted in all the Games and Sports events. The players are participating and achieving good results every year in the S.V. University Inter Collegiate Tournaments. Students who take part in the sports and games competitions at the university level are provided with uniforms, kits, and other needed materials. Sports and games are conducted for students at the end of the academic year in every college as a part of college day celebrations in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m running races, javelin throw, Volleyball, Football, Cricket, etc.

The college has a well-equipped Gymnasium (Fitness Centre) which is primarily meant for the sports students. Keeping the need for fitness for all, staff members can also avail the facility. The use of equipment is to be done under supervision.

The College has Alumni Association of Subharam Government Degree College, Punganur was registered in 2008 with the registration number 454/2008 and it was again renewed afresh in 2023 with registration number 351 of 2023 on 07.12.2023. Since its establishment, the alumni have been actively involved in the development of the institution in various ways.

The college has a guest house/waiting room facility for visiting faculty and student family members.
