Sullamussalam Arabic College, Areekode Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college library, started in 1944, situated in the entrance area of the campus is one among fully automated notable libraries focused on the rare, quality-based collection and best services in Kerala. The Library is a member of the N-list Programme under INFLIBNET. Including the Digital Library, all functions of the library are developed in the light of fundamental laws of Library Science. All days except Sundays and public holidays are working days from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.

The Digital Library is available in all Departments of the College, Women Resource Centre, Computer Labs, and Language labs through Campus Network. Separate sections are arranged for the users, especially in Reference Service, Career Guidance Corner, Comparative Religion, Bound volumes of the Journals, CD Bank, Question Bank, and Subject Books.

The college has ICT-enabled teaching techniques in every possible manner and aspect. Most of the classrooms are equipped with smart boards to enhance ICT-enabled teaching and learning and are also equipped with LCD projectors. 

The college maintains a sophisticated computer lab to up bring students to the extensive world of information. Students can access any information that they wish with the help of a computer. The college has a high-tech computer lab with 30 advanced computers with LAN and internet services through wireless connectivity, LCD projection systems, hardware, and software, printers, scanners, photocopying machines, etc. all are the backbone of our infrastructure.

College provides excellent hostel facilities for students. The hostel facilities are of high quality and well equipped. Members of the teaching staff are appointed as Resident Tutors in the hostel. The rooms provide the most modern facilities and privacy. Boys hostel located inside the campus, it can accommodate 40 students. The hostel system runs under the control of chief warden Mujeeb Rahman Panoli. The rooms are equipped with cots, mattresses, cupboards, tables, and chairs. Hostels are also equipped with TV, Computer and Wi-Fi facility, NewsPaper, and indoor games like Table Tennis, Chess, Caroms, etc.

The hostel facilities are of high quality and well equipped. The Girls hostel can accommodate 80girls. Members of the teaching staff are appointed as Resident Tutors in the hostel. The rooms are equipped with cots, mattresses, cupboards, tables, and chairs. Hostels are also equipped with TV, Computer and Wi-Fi facility, NewsPaper, and indoor games like Table Tennis, Chess, Caroms, etc.

The college has a well-maintained canteen. The canteen is spacious enough to accommodate students and also has a comfortable sitting arrangement. The canteen caters refreshments and eatables to students, staff, and visitors.

The Institution provides a separate parking area for teachers and students. So the campus remains pedestrian-friendly which is monitored by a clock round security service at the entrance.

The college maintains an adequate mini-fitness center for improving students’ health and well-being and the quality of campus life overall.

The college encourages various sports activities like Cricket, Football, Badminton, Athletics, etc.  The college has separate grounds for all these outdoor games. The ground is spacious enough for the students to play football, cricket, etc.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
