Swami Vivekananda College of Education provides two full-time courses, catering to different levels of teacher education. The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) is a two-year course aimed at those who want to become a teacher in secondary schools. The D.El.Ed, a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education, caters to primary education. Both these courses are oriented such that students are able to get all-round knowledge of the educational theories and practices under the learning environment so that they can be prepared to face the challenge of modern-day teaching. The admissions in the Swami Vivekananda College of Education will be strictly on the basis of merit depending on the state government and the affiliating university's policies. Admission in B.Ed courses will strictly be based on the basis of qualifying marks and/or entrance examination.
