Symbiosis School of International Studies (SSIS) was set up in 2016 as a constituent college of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), which is in the city of Pune, Maharashtra. This is an international-level university and is located in Viman Nagar, near Pune International Airport. SSIS provides a strong academic environment together with valuable experience in the subject of international relations. Being small with a total enrolment of 49 total students and a faculty of 3 members, the institute has an effective learning environment.

SSIS has essential facilities such as the library, laboratory, and auditorium for events, seminars, etc. It has a sports basement and a gym, which gives students the chance to balance academic activities with physical ones. They also offer internet service throughout the compound so that students are connected to the world in this modern world. Out of them, one must mention the Symbiosis Centre of Health Care, which provides medical facilities to students along with the associated staff. It also has a cafeteria and some guest rooms for faculty or staff members who may have visiting relatives. 

The academic programmes are focused on the institute's main programme, the MA in International Studies. This is a two-year full-time course that has an approved student capacity in the institute of 30 students to ensure the institute maintains a good student-instructor ratio. The programme is expected to equip the learners with adequate knowledge and practical skills in international relations, diplomacy, and world affairs.

The admission procedure for SSIS is selective and streamlined. The selection procedure for the Indian students is a writing ability test followed by a personal interaction. It also insists on academic credentials as a measure of candidate competency, and working experience is encouraged.
