Symbiosis School of International Studies is a constituent college of Symbiosis International. The intake process for SSIS is usually along with the academic year. Hence, the selection process generally begins in the months of August-September of a particular year.

For Indian students, the process of selection has two major constituents namely, WAT and PI. These tests are taken to measure the candidate's analytical acumen, his or her writing skill, and the overall aptness for the course.

Good academic record is one of the criteria for getting admission to SSIS programs. However, past work experience is desirable and not strictly necessary in the selection process. Thus, the institute could admit students who not only are well academically equipped but also have actual insight to share with the class.

Application Process

Process of seeking admission in Symbiosis School of International Studies, Pune:

1. Log on the official website of SSIS and locate the portal for admissions.
2. Fill up the online application properly, providing all necessary personal details along with required academic documents.
3. Pay the application fee via the suitable modes of payment determined by the administration.
4. Submit a duly filled up application form accompanied by all related documents.
5. Those candidates will be called for the WAT, who are shortlisted for the same.
6. After WAT, those candidates will be taken for PI round, who are shortlisted.
7. The final selections will be made based on the candidates' performance in WAT and PI and the academic record of the candidate with relevant work experience.

Degree wise Admission Process

MA International Studies: The flagship program of SSIS is the two-year full-time Master's degree in International Studies. The program is approved to take 30 students, and that will maintain an excellent student-to-instructor ratio. Eligibility to enter the MA program requires qualification through the Writing Ability Test and Personal Interaction noted above. A candidate is expected to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from any recognized university for this program. The program is designed to equip learners with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in international relations, diplomacy, and world affairs.
