Tatyasaheb Kore Dental College and Research Center, Kolhapur, is a premier dental education institution in the state of Maharashtra, India. The college has a diverse range of dental programs that are available in three different degrees, namely, Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), and Ph.D. in several dental specializations. The admissions at Tatyasaheb Kore Dental College are strictly based on the competitive national-level entrance examinations conducted to select only the most meritorious candidates.
For undergraduate courses, the college accepts a National Eligibility cum Entrance Test score. The BDS course has an approved intake of 60 seats. For MDS courses, admissions are given based on the scores obtained in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for MDS scores. The MDS specializations available in the college are Prosthodontics Crown and Bridge with an intake of 2 seats, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics and an intake of 2, Orthodontics and Periotology with an intake of 2 seats each.
The eligibility criteria for BDS admission state that candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects. For MDS admissions, the candidates must have completed their BDS degree from any recognized institution. While there exist special eligibility criteria for doctoral programs in relation to the specializations selected.

BDS: Admissions to the 5-year bachelor of dental surgery course are directly through the entrance exam scores that is, through NEET-UG. This college admits a total of 60 students into this program. The student who has completed the 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and biology, has qualified NEET-UG will only be considered eligible for the above course.
MDS: Tatyasaheb Kore Dental College has four MDS specializations - Prosthodontics Crown and Bridge, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Orthodontics, and Periotology. There are 2 seats for each of the specializations. Admission will be based on merit NEET MDS scores. A BDS degree holder is eligible to apply for MDS.
Ph.D: The college provides doctoral programs in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge, and Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. The exact admission details to the Ph.D. program cannot be stated, but generally, applicants must have a degree of MDS in that particular specialty.
