TEC established in the year 2002 is an engineering college situated in S Ivanthandalam village, Tirunelveli district, Tamilnadu. As an affiliated college, this college was established in the year 2011, but it has grown tremendously with focus on offering engineering courses. Located over a 25-acre land, the institution provides number of programmes in the undergraduate degree in engineering. This college has a student enrolment of 507, and the faculty members consist of 88 people, which means that the college has favourable student-teacher ratio, allowing effective individual approach. Recognised by National Assessment and Accreditation Council – NAAC and approved by All India Council for Technical Education –AICTE the Thamirabharani Engineering College offers quality engineering education in its various disciplines.

Thamirabharani Engineering College include state of the art facilities designed to facilitate learning as well as the growth of the students. They also have amenities and facilities that include badminton and indoor games including chess, pool and carom. College canteen provides both veg and non veg foods to the students so that they can have proper diet for their day in college. Closely coupled with global technological advancements, the computer centre is up to the standard with campus LAN facilities and a dedicated database server to meet the education requirements of the twenty-first century. The college offers transport facilities for the students who travel from different areas, so daily traveling is also safe and comfortable.

The BE degree programmes offered by Thamirabharani Engineering College are a total of 7 full time programmes and all the programmes span four years. These courses are offered for almost all branches of engineering- BE in Civil Engineering and BE in Mechanical Engineering and son on . enabling the students to have a flexibility in course selection according the their preferences and dreams. The set ceiling of 300 intakes for all programmes is an indication of the amount of capacity developed by the college to produce as many would be engineers each year.

Passed 10+2 in science stream subjects with 50% for General Category, 45% for BC (including Backward Class Muslim) and 40% for M Bc, DNC and SCISCAJsT.

B.Sc graduates are also eligible for lateral entry admissions.

TEC Tirunelveli B.Tech Admission Process:

The selection procedure for general category students is based on marks obtained in Mathematics (100) and Physics + Chemistry (100) in the qualifying exam, with a total score of 200.
To ensure fairness, marks from different education boards are normalised to match the scores of the Tamil Nadu State Board.
A merit list is prepared based on normalised scores, and ranks are assigned for general and community-wise categories.
Specific seats are allocated for vocational stream candidates (100 seats in Category I and 4% of seats in Category II). Marks in the related subject and vocational subjects (including theory and practical) are reduced to 200 and considered for admission.
Diploma holders in relevant branches and B.Sc. graduates who studied Core Mathematics at the degree level are eligible for lateral entry based on their marks.
Rank lists (overall and community-wise) are published on the Anna University website. Separate announcements are not made through newspapers.
Students shortlisted based on their ranks will have to participate in counselling rounds for finalising the course of choice and document verification.
Admissions are finalised when students submit all their documents and pay the admissions fee asked by the college.
