Thanthai Roever Institute of Agriculture and Rural Development (TRIARD), situated at Valikandapuram, Perambalur, Tamil Nadu, is a well-known college that deals with agricultural education and rural development. Degree wise Admission Process
B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons): This four-year undergraduate degree is provided by TRIARD. The course eligibility is expected to be performance in 10+2 with science subjects such as Biology and Chemistry. An entrance test might also be included in the selection procedure. The course is so planned that overall knowledge in all aspects of agriculture is imparted.
Diploma in Agriculture: It is a two-year diploma course. Admission to this course generally takes into account the performance of the candidate in 10+2 exams, prioritizing science subjects. The focus of this course is to impart practical skills and knowledge in agricultural practice.
Diploma in Horticulture: Another two-year diploma course conducted by TRIARD. The procedure for admission is the same as Diploma in Agriculture, taking into account the candidate's 10+2 results with a focus on science subjects. The course has a concentration on horticulture and plant sciences knowledge.
For all courses, candidates are requested to refer to the respective eligibility criteria, which can include minimum percentage marks in qualifying examinations and age limits.
