Tolani College of Commerce (TCC), Mumbai, It provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs in commerce and management. TCC has over the years created a name for quality education in commerce. Admission to the college is clear and unbiased, based on the regulations put forward by the University of Mumbai. The dates of admissions for Tolani College of Commerce often coincide with the dates the University of Mumbai adheres to, but still every year the scenario is little different, but typically, in most cases, all the program admissions open at a point in time either in June or July after announcing the 12th standard result.
The basic eligibility criterion for undergraduate programs is the passing of 10+2 in a recognized board. The six undergraduate programs run by the college include B.Com, B.Com (Accounting and Finance), B.Com (Banking and Insurance), Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), B.Sc (Information Technology), and B.Com (Financial Markets), each program allocated with a number of seats, that of BCom being the highest with 120. Postgraduate admissions for M.Com programmes in Advanced Accountancy and Business Management are conducted. Degree Wise Admission Process:
B.Com: This is the most sought after programme of TCC with an intake of 120 seats. Admission is strictly as per the criterion of performance of the candidate in the 12th standard examination, as set by the University of Mumbai. This course provides a foundational base of all commerce and business subjects.
B.Com (Accounting and Finance): It is a specialized course offering 60 seats and focuses on advanced accounting principles and financial management. Candidates who have a great aptitude for numbers and finance will do well in this course.
B.Com (Banking and Insurance): It requires 60 students, as it is meant for those students who are interested in the banking and insurance sectors. The admission process may include 12th standard marks and some extra criteria set by the college.
BMS: It is offered by Delhi University, which has 60 seats. The course caters to those students who want to enter a career in management. It may consider the student's marks scored in the 12th standard and perhaps an entrance test or interview.
B.Sc (Information Technology): This course has a seating capacity of 60 seats and combines both commerce education with IT skills. Admission is given on the basis of performance in the 12th standard and preference is given to students having mathematics or computer science background.
M.Com in Advanced Accountancy and Business Management: Admission for both PG programs is given to 60 students every year. Admission primarily depends on candidate's performance through their undergraduate studies, and occasionally an entrance examination or interview are also conducted as part of admission.
