Udaipur School of Social Work was started in 1959 and is one of the premier institutions in the country is situated in Dabok, Udaipur, Rajasthan. It has been over six decades of shaping the social work education as a constituent college. The institute provides a great deal of choices with 5 courses in 3 different degree levels offered in social work and related fields. The school employs a teaching faculty of 8 committed social workers to train the future generation of professional social workers.

The infrastructure of Udaipur School of Social Work is well facilitated for the richness of the student and academic environment. The library of the institute, a place of knowledge par excellence, has a proud collection of about 13,000 books and has on its list about 50 important journals & periodicals in social work as well as in the disciplines related to it. This rich source gives students and the staff a great wealth for searching for information to carry out their tasks in school. There is also infrastructure facilities like the information technology development where students are equipped with adequate technology for their learning programmes. Internet connection throughout the campus enables students and faculty to connect to the Internet for purposes of study and teaching. As for the male students, the school provides hostel facilities within the school premise in Pratapnagar.

Udaipur School of Social Work has a rich offer of courses serving all the fields connected with social work and its management. The institute offers 5 full time programmes on postgraduate diplomas, masters and doctoral programmes. These are PGDRD-(Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development), PGDHRM-(Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management), PGD in NGO Management, MA in Social Work, and Ph.D. in Social Work. All these programmes are intended to prepare the students to practice in a specific area of specialisation. The postgraduate diploma courses include 40 seats each which guarantees reasonable rates of student-to-faculty and individual approach.
