The Universal College of Engineering and Technology (UCET), Guntur. The college is one of the esteemed institutions offering a wide range of technical education at diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels. It is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and accredited by NAAC with 'B++' grade. UCET Guntur is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru University Technological Kakinada. Apart from engineering one can find courses on architecture and management in the college. Normally the admissions process begins in May-June for the academic year commencing in August-September at UCET Guntur. For different programs, applications are accepted through different state entrance examination processes. The undergraduate programs require AP EAMCET scores, while postgraduate requirements include admissions tests such as AP PGECET, GATE, and APICET.

The minimum qualification required for all undergraduated programs is passing the 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects. The applicants for postgraduate programs must have obtained their bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. Dates of procedures for admission differ as per program and entrance examination. Admissions at UCET Guntur differ according to program:

For B.Tech programs:

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: UCET Guntur offers B.Tech in several disciplines, such as Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Data Science. Selection into the B.Tech programs happens through a student's merit in the AP EAMCET. Allotment of seats through web counseling is an additional step at the institute's end. Lateral entry for diploma holders is available where 20 percent of the sanctioned intake seats are sacrificed for the benefit of ECET-qualified students directly entering into the second year.

M.Tech: The college offers two M.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering and Structural Engineering. Admission mainly depends on AP PGECET or GATE. Counseled candidates participate in the web counseling procedure for allotting the seats.

MBA: The MBA program at UCET Guntur would be admitted to appropriate candidates based on their APICET scores. The selection procedure is using web counseling for the qualified candidates.

Diploma: UCET offers courses in different disciplines at the diploma level such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. Admissions to these courses are based on the results of AP POLYCET, followed by web counseling for eligible candidates.
