Doctor of Philosophy in Physics aim to impart the student's with the mastery of a traditional body of basic principles and problem-solving techniques generally considered to be an essential part of a research physicist's training. The principal active areas include experimental and theoretical elementary particle physics, synchrotron radiation physics, accelerator physics, structural and computational biophysics, magnetism and electrodynamics. Classes are generally designed for individual attention, and thesis research is carried out in close collaboration with the faculty adviser.


Eligibility Criteria

Recognized Master's Degree in relevant stream OR an Allied field with at least 55% marks in aggregate OR 5.5 CGPA on 10 pointer scale) & having a valid score in CU-Ph.D. Entrance Test GPAT/UGC/CSIR-NET + interview.
