Usha Latchumanan College of Education was established in the year 1999 and is one of the most leading educational instituions in Puducherry-India. This is a co-educational institute under the Pontifix of Pondicherry University which aims at preparing future educators. Located on a total campus area of 2.42 Acres the college enjoys NCTE recognition which speaks a lot about the quality teacher education this college intends to provide. At present, the college has 79 students and faculty of 11 members that make the educational setting collegial and nurturing for the students and professors.

Usha Latchumanan College of Education offers two full-time courses: The new programs include a two-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program and a three-year Bachelor of Vocational Education (B.Voc) in Agriculture. The B.Ed program, under which the whole framework of the college is built, has an approved annual student capacity of one hundred.
