Greetings of the day dear Shrishti

The cutoff trends keep changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the examination, number of available seats, difficulty level of the examination, etc. Getting a CSE seat is becoming harder day by day as the demand is so much.

For a SC candidate to secure a CSE seat at Veermata Jeejabai Technological Institute - VJTI Mumbai, the cutoff of MHT CET was 145 marks in the year 2019, which is approximately below 1500 rank in MHT CET.

You can have a detailed look at the cutoff statistcs and everything related to VJTI, Mumbai from the link given below:

Hope this helps!!

All the best for your future endeavours

Hello,
VJTI, Mumbai is one of the reputed colleges. It offers various courses in graduation and diploma. Scoring 90+ percentage in 10th is considered good for the admission in diploma course here. The cutoff for the Mechanical branch which is a core branch is in the range of 91-95%. It might change slightly this year but the range would be almost the same. Considering your percentage you have a good chance of getting a branch of your choice.
Hope this information helps, All the best.!!

Hello,
Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute Mumbai (VJTI) admission to this is done on a merit basis. By considering the year 2019's cut-off the percentage of the range must lie between 90% and above to secure a seat in electronics engineering. Till round 2 the cut-off might reach up to 87% and above.
Cutoff for this year might vary slightly.
All the best..!!!

Hello,

VJTI College is a Government funded college as well as Autonomous college and also one of the oldest and considered as number one college of Mumbai hence it says in itself that it requires a very high marks for securing admission over here. Now as you have mentioned your score which is a decent one and you should first get your rank just by using JEE Main rank predictor and you will be shown your rank which will be very helpful in comparing colleges of your interest with your rank, but sorry to say that getting seat in VJTI in this marks would be very difficult the general cutoff trend says that at least your rank should be above 95 percentile so that than there will be a little positive chance that you can secure any seat and also very main reason of this high cutoff is that the seats through JEE main marks is just 10 to 15% which is very less and hence it automatically becomes the reason or its higher cutoffs.

Thank you..

Hello,

The both colleges which you have mentioned that is COEP and VJTI are top colleges in the state of Maharashtra and due to which the level of this colleges are quite and hence they required a very high marks in there particular entrance exams so that you become eligible for admission. Now talking about the exams first i would like to say you that COEP only accepts the MHTCET exams and not any other exam even not JEE 100% seats are given on the basis of MHTCET exam. But in VJTI 10 to 15% seats are given on the basis of JEE scores this gives you a basic idea that if you want to secure admission in any of this college than surely your rank should be just unbelievable so that atleast you can try for this college.

Thank you..

As per the information online, you should keep in mind that this value are changing every year and you should be very aware that you have to score as much as you can in order to get top colleges via MHTCET.

Now for VJTI the marks you can set as a reference and obviously not to be take as absolute values:

  • B. Tech in Computer Engineering   - 181
  • B. Tech in Civil Engineering           - 160
  • B. Tech in Information Technology - 175
  • B. Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - 169
  • B. Tech in Electrical Engineering    - 165
  • B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering - 169
  • B. Tech in Textile Engineering        - 142
  • B. Tech in Production Engineering  - 148

VJTI Mumbai has excellent faculty, research & training facilities and strong placements as far as Circuital Branches are concerned. Incase youre interested in CSE, EC/EE and Other Circuital Branches, you may prefer VJTI over VNIT Nagpur.

Whereas, incase interested in Core Engineering Branches, prefer VNIT Nagpur over VJTI Mumbai. Most of the Core Companies pan India recruit from NITs having a strong employer outlook and neglect excellent State Engineering Colleges like VJTI or COEP. By Core Branches, I mean Mechanical, Metallurgy, Chemical or Civil Engineering.

You may use Careers360's College Comparison Tool to further compare VNIT and VJTI. Do follow the link below
