24 MonthsMaster of Science (M.Sc) in Psychiatric Nursing is a two-year full-time program that is the postgraduate level in the nursing course offered by Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, and approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC).
Eligibility Criteria
- The minimum educational requirement shall be the passing of B.Sc (Nursing) / B.Sc Hons. Nursing / Post-Basic B.Sc Nursing with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- The candidate should be a registered nurse and registered midwife or equivalent in any state nursing council. (Tamilnadu nurses and midwives council registration is a must).
- The candidates should have undergone B.Sc Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post-Basic B.Sc Nursing in an institution that is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
- Minimum one year of work experience after Registration of Basic. B.Sc Nursing.
- Minimum of one year of work experience prior to or after Post Basic B.Sc Nursing.
- Candidates should be medically fit.
- In the case of male candidates, they should have passed any other course recommended by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery.
