It approved by AICTE and affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University whose name is Vijay Rural Engineering College, Nizamabad, Telangana was established in 1997. Located on an extensive area of 10 acres, VREC provides a mixture of engineering and management courses. All India Council for Technical Education has accredited the institute and the total student capacity is 1,011. VREC has a total of 112 members of the faculty, making a suitable environment for student’s learning. The college teaches 12 courses under 3 degrees in engineering fields and management.
VREC provides all necessary campus amenities and a variety of facilities to facilitate its academic programs and develop students’ full potential. College library has approximately 8000 books and more that 5000 titles related to engineering and management for successful academic practice. Sports facilities are given preference, as the management rightly thinks a healthy mind needs a healthy body. Facilities in the campus include up to date it and communication systems issued to the students. Some of the facilities available include a canteen, a hall for organizing personality development programs as well as fully equipped practical laboratories. It also has a health center that contains first aid equipment, and the college also has an alumni organization to create links.
The institute provide all types of courses such as B.Tech in computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, civil engineering and Artificial intelligence and machine learning. Also, VREC offers diploma courses in many areas of engineering and management as well as an MBA course. Currently the college has 12 full- time courses admitting 60 students to most of its programs as approved in their charters. The B.Tech courses have intakes varying between 30 and 60 and the MBA and diploma programs have always had an intakes of 60 each.

In general the principle of admission to VREC is founded on the results of state level entrance tests. For undergraduate engineering programs the college accepts the students by the following entrance examination called Telangana State Engineering Agricultural Medicals Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). The MBA program’s admissions are the outcome of the aspirant appearing for the Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET). These exams are well administered every year and give the aspiring students a chance to embrace their dream course in college. Nonetheless, the college has many structured ways of admitting deserving students to study in its institution to offer higher education in engineering and management courses.

Vijay Rural Engineering College (VREC), Nizamabad, as an AICTE-approved institute affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Generally, the admission cycle of VREC goes hand in hand with the academic season beginning around August-September. While the dates are subject to change with each passing year, students should begin preparing for the related entrance examinations months in advance. Applications are usually invited for admission to an institution after the announcement of the examination results, usually, in May-June. The major eligibility criteria under-graduate engineering programs include passing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.
With regard to the MBA programs, candidates must have been able to perform a bachelor-type apprentice from any recognized university with specifications probably being different for various courses per the guidelines set by the state government and the affiliating university. The college chooses candidates based on scores obtained in the state-level entrance examinations. For B.Tech programs, admission is conducted through the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET).

The selection process is primarily based on the candidate's performance in the respective entrance examinations and their rank in the state-level counseling. VREC adheres to the reservation policies of the state government.
Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Tech: VREC courses currently include six B.Tech programs with a total of240 seats. Admissions are based on TS EAMCET scores. The degree in which the programs are awarded includes Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.The intake for each program ranges from 30-60.
MBA: The college offers an MBA program with an intake of 60 seats. The admissions are based on TSICET. Candidates qualifying in TSICET will be accepted for admission into the MBA program in VREC.
Diploma: VREC conducts diploma courses in various engineering disciplines with a total intake of 300 seats. Diploma programs offered are Diploma in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Civil Engineering. The intake for each program is 60. Admissions will be under TS POLYCET.
