The college has periodical check-ups for the students conducted by a lady doctor who attends to the health problems of the students. Blood grouping and hemoglobin percentage of the girls are conducted at the beginning of the year as a health awareness measure.

Visakha Government Degree College for Women, Visakhapatnam is a government college, accredited by NAAC, it's a female educational institute offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses, it was established in the year 1975 with campus size of four acres, it has various facilities such as cafeteria, library, internet,book bank, health centre, auditorium, seminar, parking to name a few, as per the official website it states the proposal to have hostels is under consideration, hence as of now it doesn't have hostel facility, to know more details regarding this visit the official website at http://www.vgdcw.in/
