Hello aspirant,
For CET exam, a candidate should score above 125 to get into VIT pune.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hello Sarvagya
There is no lateral entry for Bachelor Engineering Degrees in MIT Chennai as it is under Anna University so they follow one rule.
Yes, VIT-Pune accepts lateral entry for the Btech course. Depending on your Diploma marks, you will get admission
VIT Pune is one of the top private engineering colleges in Maharashtra and thus, has a decent cutoff. So cutoff for branches like CSE and IT will go as high as 153-160 and above only. The exact cutoffs obviously can't be predicted as they depend on various factors like number of competitors, the paper difficulty, etc. But try to score maximum marks ie around 165 and above only to secure your seat in that particular college. Cutoff for mechanical branch previous year was 148 marks. Electronic engineering had cutoff around 137 marks. CSE and Mechanicak Engineering 2nd shift cutoff goes a little less compared to first shift cutoff.
To know about the same in detail, do refer to the following website..

Best wishes thank-you.
Hi Aspirant,
I understand that you are interested and inquiring about knowing the the best college among the colleges that you have mentioned according to placement status and so to answer your question please be informed that Vellore Institute of technology Pune seems to be the best choice among the ones you have listed in your query due to the fact that it has exceptional placement records over the last years and has a dedicated placement cell which caters to the needs of the students would be appearing for the jobs and thus helps them in obtaining grade placements with different packages according to market standards.
Best wishes!
Hello aspirant,
Definitely go for VIT Pune. This is because even though VIT is a private college and has higher fees, you will get better quality education than GCE Nagpur.
1. VIT is an autonomous college since 2008. VIT updates it Syllabus according to latest industry requirements and also there are many courses for developing your soft skills, hobbies and non-technical knowledge(economics, etc).
2. Climate wise Pune is better than Nagpur.
3. VIT promotes the spirit of entrepreneurship in case you are interested.
4. Last year 4 students from CS&IT Dept of VIT bagged 37.5 lakh packages from Microsoft India.
5. You will also get an opportunity to study abroad in renowned universities in USA, Canada, Germany, Singapore, etc as a part of the foreign exchange programs. But you will have to bear the expense from your own pocket.
6. Only drawback is that you might spend a bit more living in Pune as it is a metro city and also college fees will be higher. But i can bet, it will be worth it.
Final Verdict - Go for VIT
I hope it helps!
Hello friend, Well both are good colleges. At the end of four years what really matters is your score and getting job with a good company. What i know is E&TC staff teaches really good at PICT. No idea about VIT staff. But anyway, you have to study on your own. From placement point of view, I think both colleges are equivalent.
I would say first decide about your interests. Pointing out the obvious but E&TC is mostly about hardware & CS/IT is about software. I’ve always seen E&TC people saying that it’s tough. Some people even switch from E&TC to CS/IT in second year (but those are FEW high scoring students).
Don’t go hard on yourself; you choose any of the two colleges, it’s not gonna be a big difference if you can study on your own. Also, I’ll recommend considering other factors like campus, hostels, social activities, technical events, etc. I think all the details can be searched online!
Hello aspirant,
VIT Pune is better than Sinhgad,Vadgaon for the Chemical branch but one thing for sure, you will have to pay much more for VIT than Sinhgad.
In Sinhgad, Vadgaon you can get a seat at a much cheaper rate than VIT and most importantly it will be worth the amount you will be paying.
The charges for Sinhgad will be almost one-fourth of VIT.
So, if you can pay a larger amount, then you should definitely join VIT or else Sinhgad is a nice option too in a very cheap rate.
Also keep in mind, all the placements comes mainly for CSE. Hence I would suggest you to join CSE in Sinhgad, Vadgaon.
Thank You!!
The infrastructure here is top-notch. The classrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with modern teaching aids. The library is extensive, offering a quiet space for study. The campus has ample greenery, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The sports complex is well-maintained, encouraging physical activities. However, the canteen could use some improvements in terms of hygiene and variety.
This college have a good infrastructure facility the classrooms are equipped with the projectors have big classrooms the classroom are well maintained and also college have necessary equipments required for practical.
college has a very good infrastructure, like nvidia labs mac labs which provide a very good facilities for students.though college dont have its own hostel there are many pg's hostels nearby so that is not a big problem.
