Vivekanand Education Society's Polytechnic is well-known as VESP. It was established in the year 1983 at Chembur in Mumbai. The institute is a co-educational and offers diploma courses in different branches of engineering. It is affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education. The campus area of the institute is 2.57 acres and is an AICTE-approved institution. The learning environment within the campus is very favorable, with a total strength of 962 students and faculty of 35. VESP offers six different courses of diploma with different specializations which cater to the differing interest levels of students regarding the field of engineering.

The institute strives to provide excellent facilities to advance the learning experience of its students. The laboratories and workshops in VESP are well-equipped and are regularly updated according to the changing industry standards. The library can accommodate 150 students and is well-stocked with a large number of technical books, periodicals, and audio-visual materials. The sports lovers in the college have a playground with football, cricket, basketball, and volleyball facilities, together with a 200-metre track for athletics events. Degree Wise Admission Process

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: It admits 60 students and further trains them in machine design, thermal engineering and manufacturing processes. Seats for the intake are strictly in terms of entrance test scores and how the applicant did in 10th standard.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering: This course has an intake capacity of 60 students. The areas covered include power systems, electrical machines, and control systems. The admissions are strictly on the basis of entrance exams and previous academic records.

Diploma in Computer Engineering: It is the highest seated course, having 120 seats. The various subjects are programming, database management, and computer networks. Admission to this course is highly competitive and strictly on the basis of entrance exam scores and marks secured in 10th standard.

Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering: It has 60 seats. Its focus areas include electronic circuits, communication systems, and signal processing. Candidates are selected for the course through the performance in the entrance test and their relevant academic background.

Diploma in Automation and Robotics: The intake capacity is 60 seats, and the specialization area is robotics, control systems, and industrial automation. Students will be admitted on the basis of entrance examination results and scores in the 10th standard.
