Vivekanand Education Society's Polytechnic, Chembur Admission Process

VESP is one of the most promising institutions in Chembur, Mumbai. It provides diploma courses in most engineering disciplines and is under the board of Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education. Admission process designed by the institute is to select the right candidates for its six full-time diploma programs. The admission process in VESP is fair and quite transparent so that all those who are eligible can get an equal opportunity to gain admission.

The eligibility criterion for admission in VESP diploma courses is completing 10th standard or its equivalent from an affiliated board. The student shall have studied at least Mathematics, Science, and English as major subjects that constitute the base study of engineering. Programme-specific subject-wise minimum marks requirements can be different for each course.

Application Process

Degree Wise Admission Process

Diploma in Civil Engineering: This has 60 seats and is teaching structural engineering, construction management, and surveying. Admission is through entrance examination conducted based on the merit of the candidates and their 10th standard marks.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: It admits 60 students and further trains them in machine design, thermal engineering and manufacturing processes. Seats for the intake are strictly in terms of entrance test scores and how the applicant did in 10th standard.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering: This course has an intake capacity of 60 students. The areas covered include power systems, electrical machines, and control systems. The admissions are strictly on the basis of entrance exams and previous academic records.

Diploma in Computer Engineering: It is the highest seated course, having 120 seats. The various subjects are programming, database management, and computer networks. Admission to this course is highly competitive and strictly on the basis of entrance exam scores and marks secured in 10th standard.

Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering: It has 60 seats. Its focus areas include electronic circuits, communication systems, and signal processing. Candidates are selected for the course through the performance in the entrance test and their relevant academic background.

Diploma in Automation and Robotics: The intake capacity is 60 seats, and the specialization area is robotics, control systems, and industrial automation. Students will be admitted on the basis of entrance examination results and scores in the 10th standard.
