    College Infrastructure

College Infrastructure is good you will get all the classes on ground classes itself. Class are conducted st central building and practicals in respected departments. Hostel is there and so much greenery.

    Academics

All teachers are well experienced. They are more preferred towards practical knowledge and little on theory. Overall teaching is very well. Faculty are very much cooperative. Just one thing you need to attend college regularly.

    Placements

There are huge placements in this college. If you are good and capable enough your placement is almost guaranteed so overall placement is good enough. For core braches placement packages are less as compared to cse and it.

    Value for Money

    College Infrastructure

Nice infrastructure. It is quiet old but there are many advance technologies used in campus, classes as well as in hostels. Also the food we get in mess is quite good and hygiene is there in campus and everywhere.

    Academics

I'm studying electronics engineering in Walchand College. I must say the faculty & academics are best one. They already have deep knowledge about their respective cores. So they add many valuable subjects in our academics & it's become beneficial for us.

    Placements

Placements are good. As per observation about 70-80% students get placed. Our placement incharge is very supportive & brought different placement opportunities for us. But many are placed in software companies rather than their respective cores.

    Value for Money

Due to pandemic, I don't think we are getting our money's worth.

    Campus Life

College campus is the best part. The place where we make memories & remember for long last. About the safety I would say, College has taken precautions. So it is safe & also college have system which can handle emergencies.

    College Infrastructure

WCE Sangli has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and equipment. Projectors in each classroom for digital education, Labs are well equipped with computer systems, and the library has thousands of books for every department, Boys Hostels are good but girls hostels are good and are maintained well. WiFis are all around the campus. The campus is full of greenery everywhere and in the morning, you can see peacocks in the campus area. And the food in the hostel mess is satisfactory.

    Academics

So I did my B. Tech in Information Technology because I was always fond of coding stuff. The teachers are well-graduated (mostly P.Hd) and good at their teaching. The curriculum is updated with understanding the skills in demand and the skills used in the industry. Interacting with alumni and pass out students working in Industries, what things to add to the curriculum, and what to remove so that the best education can be given to the candidate in college itself.

    Placements

WCE Sangli is especially known for its placements. For CS and IT, placements are 100% and for Electrical, Electronics, and Mechanical the percentage is around 90%. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA for Dhruva and off-campus the highest package from the WCE 2020 passed out CS student is around 36 LPA for Google. The average salary one could get is 3.6 LPA. The placement process is good, the Training and Placement Office(TPO) has separate interview rooms and Group Discussion halls.

    Value for Money

For B.Tech in Information Technology for OBC candidates, the annual fees for this course is around 42k. The fee structure varies for other category candidates. Of course, your money is worth in WCE because of the placements and teaching.

    Campus Life

The campus is huge and good, full of greenery everywhere. The campus has Lord Ganesha Temple and has separate study rooms for girls and boys with a capacity of around 100+ students at the same time open 24/7 for boys and girls late-night timing is 10 PM. Students can explore various groups like ArtCircle to showcase themself in singing, drama, art, dance, writing, etc. Other groups are PACE, SAIT, WLUG, etc. Seniors are helpful, Teachers and support staff are good. Its location is Sangli (MH).

    Others

The Training and Placement Office (TPO) Dean is Executive Director of Maharashtra Training and Placements Officer's Association. If your CPI is 6.75 and above no one can stop you from getting placed in the company. Hackathons and different competitions are held in college itself. WCE allows you to go out for an internship in your final sem of last year.

    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is the best as it has a large campus area of 115acres. The location is much more eco-friendly and we'll maintained. The library of our campus is Popularly known as 'the largest library in Asia' and it is! Along with this, campus provides a wide range of network everywhere by means of WIFI routers. About to say hostels, there is a large space for the hostels and they are well maintained with cleanliness and sufficient living rooms.

    Academics

Walchand College of engineering Sangli is the top 3rd engineering institute in Maharashtra. To maintain this, every faculty member tries his/her best and provides a wide and deep knowledge to students. Teachers provide personal attention towards each and every student and solve the queries time to time.

    Placements

According to the history of the college, every year many well known companies hire most of their employees from here. The percentage of placement is very good, along with this, the average package is also maintained. TPO provides student the all skills required for campus selection, so that many students start their courier journey as soon as the academics get complicated.

    Value for Money

The average fees for open category students is 85k and for others, is according to their scholarship. Fee structure includes all the charges and there is no need of paying any extra costs for the selected programmes. Campus provides voluntary subjects for minor degree, but for that, your should have to pay accordingly.

    Campus Life

Campus life is always memorable journey in my life. As there is pandemic situation, we are learning from home, but missing the campus so much. Campus provides us eco-friendly nature so that everyone get attached to it.

    Others

So I recommend the students who want to make their career in engineering, that the walchand College of engineering Sangli is the best institute for them in Maharashtra.

Good college for mechanical in my own experience.

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Mechanical department wise, the college has all the machines and equipments necessary to demonstrate all the required experiments. It has highly sophisticated setups, some of which I personally used for my final year project. Classrooms are average sized with projectors and all the necessary stuff. Library is definitely one of the best in India. There is a huge playground and a well maintained badminton court. Wifi is available throughout the campus. Food in the college mess is average.

    Academics

Some of the teachers are really good and make the subjects very interesting. Few are average but there atleast two faculties for every subject taught. Curriculum is of absolute high standard and will help GATE aspirants.

    Placements

Placement process is very relaxed and transparent. Some of the best companies that hire from UG colleges visit the campus. One drawback would be if you are a topper and want to skip a particular company for whatever reason, you might face problems doing that as all the eligible candidates have to appear for recruitment drive of good companies. (This was true atleast back in my time)

    Value for Money

The fees are lesser than COEP and in line with other similar level colleges. Location is of a sub urban area so cost of living is also low. So overall cost is low. For that, the education level provided by WCE is very high and its ROI can be considered good.

Have a question related to Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli ?

I am in kit institute in kolhapur pursuing my F.Y . btech in civil can I go to walchand college of engineering sangli in second year

    Hello there!!!

Transferring from KIT Institute to Walchand College of Engineering can turn out to be a good move if you are looking for an improvement in academic as well as professional perspectives. Below is a broad outline of how to do that:

    Eligibility and Process:

    • Check Eligibility: Each college has its specific criterion for transferring candidates. You should know that WCE has its specific requirements for transfer applicants, such as academic eligibility, available seats, or other special conditions for civil engineering students.
    • Contact the Admissions Office: Contact WCE's admissions office or academic coordinator to discuss your case. They can explain further the procedure and even give you a specific list of what documents will be required if there are any.
    • Prepare Documents: Generally, you would need to present a copy of your academic transcript, transfer application, and sometimes, letters of recommendation. Make sure that your documents are complete and ready for you to present in front of the people from WCE.
    • Credits Transfer: One thing you should consider in transferring is how your completed coursework will transfer. WCE will evaluate the credits completed to establish how many will count for your degree there.
    • Application Transfer: The application process for transfers into WCE may require filling out an application form and presenting other documents as well as possibly attending a meeting.
    • Decision and Admission: After applying, wait for WCE to respond with a decision. Thereafter, continue with their steps for enrollment and induction.

    Preparation and Thoughts:

    • Academic Record: Keep working hard to ensure that you have a sound academic record at KIT to upgrade your prospects of a smooth transfer
    • Reason for Transfer: Clearly define reasons for shifting places- whether it is due to better facilities or faculty, or any other reason.
    • Financial and Logistics: There may be financial or logistics concerns in connection with the move.

To obtain more personalized advice, you could visit both colleges' websites and speak to current students or alumni.

    Thankyou!
