Women's Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sitapur Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

The admission process of Women's Institute of Engineering and Technology (WIET) takes into account the varied parameters of merit and the academic competence of applicants to facilitate entrance of the new generation of Indian engineers from all over the world.

In the first instance, four B.Tech branches are offered. These are Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. Depending upon the admission procedure, WIET will commence with either July-August in respective years, which coincides with the academic year.

Generally, the eligibility criteria for entry at WIET are 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The institute has been endowed with AICTE approval, and thus, is bound to comply with almost all eligibility norms accorded by AICTE in accordance with one of its standards and rules for engineering admissions in praction; hence, there is an aggregate of primary percentages, that is, the qualifying examination should attain 45% (40% for reserved categories).

Application Process

WIET application process for the admission goes as follows:

1. When the admission for the candidates is open, first go to the official website of WIET so that you can gain access to the online application form.

2. Fill in the online application form with valid personal data, academic qualification information, and contact addresses.

3. Attach essential documents, which are likely to be:

• Passport photograph
• Scanned copies of mark sheets of Classes 10 and 12
• Date of birth proof certificate
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Entrance exam score card (if applicable)

4. The application fee is to be paid in a deposited mode of payment (details would be available in the application portal).

5. After successfully submitting the application form, an online printout is made for future reference.

6. Wait for notification about the learned merit list or call for counseling, being published through the institute website or to email/SMS.

7. If shortlisted, report to the WIET campus on a date fixed for counseling with all original documents for verification.

8. Pay the admission fee in order to get the seat secured for the preferred B.Tech course, after the verification of documents and allotment of seat.

9. Complete the rest of the admission formalities, including submission of the migration certificate, transfer certificate, and any other documents required by the institute.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Tech admission in WIET are offered more or less in the order of their intake capacity:

1. B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering: This program has the largest intake of 150 seats. Admission is usually through merit based on qualifying exam and/or score obtained in entrance exam.

2. B.Tech in Information Technology: This program has a limited capacity of 120 seats. It follows most likely the criteria set forth in Computer Science and Engineering, weighting performance in the qualifying exam and entrance exam.

3. B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering: This B.Tech program has 120 seats, and the admission will be on the basis of the academic qualifications of candidates and possibly their performance in entrance examinations.

4. B.Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering: The program is of a 60-seat capacity. Similar admission parameters would be relevant for this B.Tech program as those already stated for others.

For all B.Tech programs, a candidate is expected to have completed higher secondary school or equivalent examination with compulsory subjects being Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The selection of candidates may further include their performance in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects alongside overall academic achievements.
