For the students of Resident of Backward Areas (RBA), there is 20% reservation, and Government medical College, Jammu has a total seat intake of 150 for MBBS. These seats are filled through Constitutional reservations through 100% State Counselling. Cutoff marks are variable for every year.

At your rank it is very difficult to get Civil branch in GCET, Jammu. Your rank is little high than cutoff. so, there is very less chance to get Civil branch in GCET Colleges. But if the cut off varies you can get chance to get Civil branch in GCET.

According to last some years cut offs the closing rank for civil branch in government college of engineering and technology Jammu is nearly between 450 to 700. As your rank is little more than that of closing rank so that you have less chances of getting admission for civil branch.

But as cut offs may vary year to year so you should go for that with your fortunate luck you will get it. You have good chances of getting electrical engineering so if you are interested in that then you can for that also.

If you look at the notification in the official website, https://jkbopee.gov.in/Pages/Applicant/Information/Archives.aspx in 2019, until Round 1 EWS Category reservation was considered under Open Merit Category alone. The seats were not included yet. And there was no mention of  EWS reservation for the year 2019. And so to give you EWS data for 2019 might be difficult. But in 2019, under State Quota, 533 marks secured a seat in GMC, Jammu under Open Merit Category. Now this is 2019 data and for 2020 under EWS you will need atleast 500 for a seat in GMC Jammu. This is because cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam.

In 2019, under RBA Category. 467 marks secured a seat in GMC Jammu. This is 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. For a seat in GMC Jammy under State Quota for 2020, you should atleast target 500-525. This is because this year as NEET has been pushed back by 5 months, Candidates have had additional time for preparation and so the competition is going to be tough for limited number of  seats. And hence higher cut offs.

EWS reservation has 10% and RBA has 10% reservation. And Government Medical College, Jammu has 150 MBBS seat intake and all these seats are filled through Constitutional reservations through 100% State Counselling. There are a total of 100 seats available for MBBS course in Government Medical College, Jammu. In addition to this, 4 seats are available for non permanent resident of J&K candidates and these are non-transferrable.

Out of these 100 seats, 20% seats are reserved for Resident of Backward Areas (RBA) category.

NEET scores more than 200+ will fetch you a seat and you would be required to show original documents for the reservation catergory. Normally the cut off ranges from 190-250.
