Hello student ,

Since 1 litre of hydrocarbon weighs as much as 1 litre of CO2 under similar conditions thus 22.4L of hydrocarbon will weigh as much as 22.4L of CO2.

Thus the molecular weight of the hydrocarbon is same as CO2 = 44g. Hence the hydrocarbon corresponding to this mass is C3H8 which is PROPANE.
