Hello,
In the Karnataka PGCET (Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) cutoff rank list, the "3rd B" category usually refers to a reservation category based on social and educational background criteria. Karnataka has several reservation categories for PGCET, including categories like General Merit (GM) , SC (Scheduled Caste) , ST (Scheduled Tribe) , Category I, Category II A, Category II B, Category III A, and Category III B .
The Category III B is generally for candidates belonging to the Backward Classes (BC) who fall under the Category III B classification as per the Karnataka state reservation policy. These candidates are eligible for reservation benefits if they meet the income and caste certification requirements set by the Karnataka government.
To confirm whether you fall under the Category III B (often listed as 3B in rank lists), check your caste and income certificate to see if they match the state’s official reservation list for this category. The cutoff ranks for 3B can vary significantly depending on the course and institution, so it’s essential to consult the official PGCET rank list and seat matrix for precise details each year.
Hope it helps !
