Correct Answer: 32 km
Solution : Given: A man travelled a distance of 80 km in 7 hours. He travelled partly on foot at 8 km/hr and partly on bicycle at 16 km/hr. Let the time taken on foot be $x$ hours. Distance = Speed $×$ Time So, distance travelled on foot = $8x$ km The time taken on the bicycle is $(7-x)$ hours. Distance travelled on bicycle = $16×(7-x)$ km Total distance = $8x+16(7-x)$ km According to the given condition, $8x+16(7-x) = 80$ ⇒ $8x+112-16x = 80$ ⇒ $112-80 = 8x$ ⇒ $x=\frac{32}{8}=4$ So, the distance travelled on foot = 8$×$4 = 32 km Hence, the correct answer is 32 km.
