a sample of gas Gamma equal to 1.5 is taken through an adiabatic process in which the volume is compressed from 1600 cm cube to 400 cm cube if the initial pressure is 150 kPa i) what is the final pressure ii) how much work is done by the gas in the process

Dear Student,

As you might be knowing, for adiabatic process,

P1*V1^(gamma) = P2*V2^(gamma)

And P1 = 150kPa & V1 = 1600cc & V2 = 400cc,

Putting the formula, you will get the P2 as 1200kPa.

Similarly you can find the work done on the gas in the process.

Hope this helps. Thanks.
