Hello Atul,

To avail a KVPY scholarship during the MBBS degree, the students have to appear in the KVPY SP (Medicine) examination. To be eligible for KVPY SP Medicine, the students must be in their first or second year of their MBBS PROGRAMME. It is compulsory to have a minimum of 75 % marks in the Science subjects in the class 12 examination (65% for SC/ST) or a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST) in the first professional examination of the MBBS program.

The students must submit a biomedical project report along with the application that has been supervised by a certified professional in the respective field. The supervisor must provide two recommendations acknowledging the degree of contribution of the candidate in the project. Based on the performance in the KVPY SP examination and the attached project report, the candidates will be called for an interview in IISC Bangalore.

no particular syllabus is prescribed for the test. However the course content is only what the student has learned till Class 12. The paper consists of 4 sections  physics, chemistry, maths and biology.

Hope it helps
