Hi Saravanakumar, There is nothing as cutoff mark in AIIMS...there is percentile.... Percentile gives the details about number of students who are behind you or it can be said as number of students who have scored less marks than you or performed less than you.....For example if you have obtained 95 Percentile it means out of total number of applicants or the people who have given exam 95% of people have scored less than you in the exam assume 10000 people have appeared 95 Percentile means 9500 people have scored less than you and you are in top 500.......this year(2017) cut off in AIIMS UG was General - 99.0014978, SC/ST - 97.4205359 and OBC Non Creamy Layer - 94.1220114.............But it is seen that scoring more than 120 is a safer position....every year it varies based on difficulty level of paper........Hopefully that helps

Hi Saravanakumar

AIIMS is a very competitive exam, and it is very difficult to clear it. Generally, only the 99th percentile are accepted. You will have to study very hard to clear it.

All the best!

Hi Saravanakumar!

1) AIIMS exam depends on various factors that are contributed by you as well as other students attempting the exam. The results are based on your percentile. The cut-off percentiles for different categories are as follows:
- Unreserved: 99.0014978
- OBC: 97.4205359
- SC/ST: 94.1220114

2) You need to understand that it's your percentile that counts. You need to aim for high marks in all the sections to increase your percentile.

Tips for AIIMS preparation:
- Ensure that you are thorough with the NCERT prescribed textbooks, so that you have a strong foundation to tackle the questions. Then refer to reference books to develop conceptual understanding and to practice questions.
- Solve papers in a mock exam format towards the end of your preparation. Analyse them as well; outlining the strengths and weaknesses.
- Plan your studies. Make a schedule of the topics you want to complete for the particular day, so that you don't waste time on deciding what to do. Don't keep the schedule rigid.
- Ensure that you are enjoying from time to time. Maintain good health as well.

Hope this answers your question

Hi Saravanakumar , AIIMS cut off depends on a lot of factors the relative performance, seats etc...

It's more accurate if we use the term percentile , basically If u belong to General category your percentile cut off is 99.001 , SC/ST 97.42 and OBC 94.42

Hope this helped you in getting more clarity
