With the advent of national eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), the number of national level examinations have reduced in number since many deemed universities and colleges have considered preparing a merit list based on the scores you obtain in NEET. However, I've mentioned below the various examinations you can appear for apart from NEET:

1) AIIMS

It's application form will be released around third week of February 2018. Candidates will get merit based admission in either AIIMS, Delhi or any of the sister institutions of AIIMS.

2) JIPMER

It's application form will be released around first week of March 2018. Candidates will get merit based admissions in either JIPMER, puducherry or JIPMER, Karaikal campus.

Like I've previously mentioned, you can contest for seats in various other colleges and universities based on your NEET scores, you only need to submit an application form if you are interested. The details of which I've mentioned below:

1) AMU

Aligarh Muslim University, it conducts admissions based on NEET scores. Admission forms will be out around June 2018.

2) IPU CET

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, admissions based on NEET scores. Admission forms will be out by June 2018.

3) BVP CET

Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University, conducts admissions based on NEET scores. Admission and counseling is done by MCC (medical common counseling).

4)KIITEE

Kalinga Institute of industrial technology, conducts admissions based on NEET scores. Applicants can apply via the official website of the institution.

5) AFMC

Armed forces medical college, admissions on the basis of NEET scores. Online application filling will probably begin in June 2018.

6) MU OET

Manipal University, admissions are based on NEET scores. Applicants can apply online on the official website of the institution.

Apart from the above mentioned universities you can also consider applying for universities like:

MGIMS, Wardha

SRM medical entrance

Dr. D Y patil AICET

COMEDK

ALL OF THESE INSTITUTES WILL CONDUCT ADMISSIONS BASED ON NEET SCORES.

Hello Bibhakar,

As per the directives of the Supreme Court of India, all medical admissions across the country will be done on the basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) scores of the applicants. Only two national importance medical colleges - AIIMS and JIPMER will conduct their own entrance examination for admission to MBBS courses. As mentioned, NEET will be conducted for admission to 90,000 seats (65,000 MBBS and 25,000 BDS) for admission to all government as well as private medical and dental colleges of India.
Besides this, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, will conduct entrance examination for admission to 707 MBBS seats in all seven AIIMS institutes located at New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) will be organised to fill a total of 200 MBBS seats in its two campuses in Puducherry (150 seats) and Karaikal (50 seats).

I hope this information will help you. All the best.

Hi Bibhakar!

With the events and hearing in Supreme Court, all admission into medical colleges in India have to use NEET scores of the applicants. This rule exempts only 2 colleges: AIIMS and JIPMER.

NEET:
- Questions: 180 (45 Physics, 45 Chemistry, 90 Biology)
- Marking Scheme: 4 for correct answer & -1 for wrong answer
- Counselling: DGHS on MCC website(All India Quota, Deemed Universities, AFMC and ESI for IP wards)
- NEET 2018 brochure may be released by December

AIIMS:
- Questions: 200 (60 Physics, 60 Chemistry, 60 Biology, 20 General Knowledge)
- Marking Scheme: 1 for correct answer & -1/3 for wrong answer

JIPMER:
- Questions: 200 (60 Physics, 60 Chemistry, 60 Biology, 10 Logic & Reasoning, 10 English)
- Marking Scheme: 4 for correct answer & no negative marking

You can also apply for COMEDK and AMU for counselling only

Regularly check the website for information regarding application procedure and counselling process.

Hope this answers your question!
