NEET is an entrance exam conducted by NTA to get admission in courses like MBBS BDS BAMS etc
The eligibility criteria for NEET entrance exam is 10+2 from a well recognised board in Physics Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology.
The percentage requirement in PCB to be eligible for NEET entrance exam is as followed
UR/EWS- 50%
OBC/SC/ST- 40%
UR(PH)- 45%
If the marks you got are less than the above percentage criteria, you can absolutely give the Improvement/Betterment exam to improve your marks and be eligible for the NEET exam.

Yes , if you are not eligible for neet this year because of less marks in 12th examination, you can give neet after appearing in improvement/ betterment exams.
Neet is a combined medical entrance exam conducted by NTA.
Eligibility include 12th PCB stream student with total aggregate of
50% UR
40% OBC/ST/SC
PWD 45%
Category Cut-off Percentile of NEET UG .
General Category 50th Percentile
OBC 40th Percentile
SC 40th Percentile
ST 40th Percentile
Total marks 720
