B. Tech is best or b. Sc is best?
Hello,
It's your choice. If you wanted to see yourself as a software professional or some professional in engineering, years later then probably Btech is best for you.
But if you want something different in life, something which most of the people don't do, then choose Bsc. BSc in pure science from a good university will lead you towards the enormous field of research in pure science. I am currently pursuing Master's in Chemistry in IIT Kanpur and am among some of the best minds across India in my field. Here most students aim in moving abroad for pursuing their Ph.D. and Postdocs. Later in their career, they become full-time researchers or join academia.
Apart from a career in academia, I would like to throw light on some other exciting careers which I have seen people pursue after moving from this place.
MSc. in mathematics and statistics can lead to a career in data analyst in any big company. With the increasing growth of AI, the demands for data analysts are hugely increasing and maybe in the next decade data analysts would be the richest on earth. Most graduates come here for their post-graduation and their jobs are more or like the same as described above.
Similarly, a degree in biochemistry or chemistry can open large doors in the pharma sector. I have seniors working as biochemists for big pharma companies and some even have their own companies.
We have kept btech on top of our hierarchy table of degrees because we are unaware of other fields or are more ignorant.
So, dude if your friends are crazy about doing btech, not necessary you should also follow the herd.
Think calmly, what you want to do in life and where you want to see yourself after 10 years.
Then, take a decision which you shouldn't regret later.
.
Thank you and all the best for your future.
Hello Sathish !!
We cannot say which degree is best, but it all depends upon your interest towards your career.
Here, Bachelors of science (B.sc) is one of the most popular degree courses among science students after class 12. The duration of Bsc course is 3 years in India. But whereas the Btech course is to be done for the duration of 4 years. So if you are good at mathematics , better choose btech and when you are interested in science, go for Bsc.
Please do research and then proceed accordingly !!!

Hooe this helps and best wishes !!!
There is a lot of misconceptions and confusions among students when it comes to choosing BSc or Btech after 12th.
A common misconception is BTech (engineering) is better than BSc (pure science), while a few confident students stick to BSc as their career goals are clear.
Some feel BTech is tough and they won’t be able to perform up to the expected level, while others feel BSc is way too easy.
To remove this confusion and misconceptions, we look a the different aspects, scope, difficulty level, career prospects etc., involved in these two courses and may be help you in choosing either BSc or Btech.
