Latest: DU Admission Process
Hello,
The answer to this question should be based on your interest. You need to choose whether you'll be more happier doing an arts or a commerce course and also see which would be more beneficial for your career dreams.
If you have no particular interest, you should consider looking for the scope of both the courses.
B.A. programme is an average course to pursue and you need to work really hard to get a good college for a specialised M.A. since you would have less knowledge in a particular subject as compared to the Hons. students. There won't be much decent job opportunities after just a B.A., you have to do your masters, that could either be M.A., M.B.A. or you could prepare for govt jobs. If your combination subjects are purely arts subjects, you won't have much touch with quantitative aptitude, which is required for cracking govt exams or for MBA. However, DU would give you a lot of opportunities.
Coming to B.com Hons, it is a course with better job scope. You can expect decent jobs after a b.com itself. IPU is good enough for the course and is emerging as a decent option, since admission is through entrance. If you're getting a good college in IPU,I would suggest that you go for it. Most colleges have nice placements for b.com in IPU.
All the best!
