board me 75% criteria kis college me hotahai b tech k liye. iit me to hai. but iiit Or nit me hota hai kya
Hello Aspirant,
Yes the same criteria is applied to NITs and IIITs as well along with IITs. See if you are seeking admission in engineering courses offered by NITs/IIITs/IITs then you should have minimum 75% marks in 10+2 if you belongs to General category. However to appear for JEE-Main this criteria is not applicable so even if the candidate has not scored the aforesaid marks then also he can appear for JEE-Main and can get admission in some GFTIs or some private colleges on the basis of JEE-Main score. Also note that since last 2 years the aforesaid criteria has been waived off and for this year there is no any update so it is yet to be decided for this year.
JEE-Main eligibility criteria is mentioned below :-
1--- Age criteria :- There is no age limit to appear in JEE-Main but note that there might be the age limit in any particular institution taking admission through JEE-Main score, so you should keep this thing in mind.
2--- Qualifying Examination :- To be eligible for JEE-Main one should have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject from any of the recognized central or state board.
3--- Year of qualification :- For JEE-Main 2022 only those candidates who have passed Class 12 / equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or 2022; or those who will be appearing in Class 12th / equivalent examination in 2022, would be eligible to appear.
So if you follow all above criterion then you are definitely eligible for JEE-Main.

Dear aspirant,
Due to the covid -19 pandemic there was some changes made in the eligibility criteria to appear for jee .
Initally , candidates need to pass their 12th examination or equivalent with 75% marks in aggregate in physics , chemistry and mathematics. But now this criteria has been changed atleast for the year 2020 and 2021 and the candidates should only pass their 12th examination.
For the current year, the national testing agency will release the eligibility criteria and only in that we would see about the criteria.
