If the following eligibility criteria is meet:

Educational Qualification : Candidatemust have passed 10+2 with required subjects (Physcis, Chemistry and Mathematics) from recognized board, which includes CBSE. It doesn't matter whether student's on a regular candidate or a private candidate.

Minimum Marks: Candidate needs to meet the minimum Marks eligibility which is aggregate 60% in PCM and 50% in English.

Age Limit : Candidate must fall with the prescribed age,
17-25 years.

As long as these conditions are satisfied, being a private student will not hinder your eligibility for IMU CET.

Yes. Private CBSE passed candidates are eligible. They should have passed all the subjects through CBSE and not in multiple attempts this is given in faq of IMU website.

Moreover,Candidates must have completed their 10 + 2 level examinations in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English with atleast 60 percent marks.
