There is no way a candidate can directly appear for phase 2 of NTSE without appearing in the first phase. Actually NTSE is national level examination which is conducted in two phases that is at national and state levels respectively. Candidates who qualify in the first round are only called for second round and will be eligible for scholarship programs.

For your kind information I want to tell you that there is no any provision that you can appear for NTSE stage 2 examination without qualifying your stage 1.Only the candidates who have given NTSE stage 1 and qualified it are eligible to give NTSE stage 2 examination.

No candidates cannot directly give stage 2 without giving NTSE stage 1. Only those candidates who have cleared stage 1 are eligible for stage 2. SCERT or other authority of the respective state conducts stage 1 at the state level and stage 2 exam is held by NCERT at the national level. National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has postponed the NTSE stage 1 and 2 exams 2021-22. The revised schedule for National Talent Search Examination 2021-22 will be released soon by NCERT.
