If you fail in your class 11th,then of course,you need to work harder and pass 11th to go to class 12th.
And the basic eligibility criteria of NEET,is to pass 12th from a recognised board with minimum 50 percent with aggregate marks of Physics,Chemistry and Biology.
Therefore,you will be eligible for appearing for NEET.

The NEET forms requires that you pass your higher secondary examination with at least 50 percentage in science for UR category .
It does not matter whether you failed your 11th class or not , anyways you must have cleared your 11th if you have got more than 50 percentage in 12th .
Further ,there is no upper age limit as of now and the fixed number of attempts have been removed.
Therefore , there would be no problem to appear for NEET. Now your NEET marks will matter to get you a college in MBBS , BDS and AYUSH courses .

Yes,you can appear for NEET if you have more than 2 years gap between your class 10th and class 12th mark sheets. The rule of 2 yearas of contimuous study bedore NEET was amended by the MCI last year. So if you have failed in class 11 and thus, repeated it, you are eligible for Aiims and NEET . But for aiims you need to have a score of more than 60% in your class 12 boards. All the best!

This is the eligibility criteria considering 12th for NEET UG:
- Candidates who are appearing for their board exams in the year 2018 – Eligible
- Candidates who have appeared for 12th standard exam in 2017 and appearing for an improvement exam in 2018 – Eligible
- Students who have appeared for the 12th standard exam in 2016 and have taken improvement exam in 2017, can mention the year of the exam with a better score.
