Can a student of 12th passed appear for AFCAT exam?
Hi Shruti,
Unfortunately no, but yes this is a golden opportunity for aspirants like you who are in 12th (or who have just passed 12th) to study and prepare for AFCAT.
The minimum eligibility criteria (education-wise) required to fill the application form of AFCAT is graduation that too if you choose PCM stream in 10+2.
I hope this clears your confusion. If you have any more queries you can just refer to these quick links - AFCAT Admit Card 2020 , Everything about AFCAT
Thanks!
For flying : Candidates should have passed with maths and physics with at least 60% marks in each subject and BE/BTECH degree from a recognized university.
For ground duty (Tech ) : Candidates must have a 4 degree qualification and have cleared section A and B examination of associate membership of institution of engineers or aeronaitical society of India with minimum 60% marks
For ground duty (Non tech ) : Candidates must have passed Bcom with minimum 60%marks .
Age limit is minimum 20 years to maximum 24 years
So students with only 12th passed cannot apply for AFCAT . You have to get a bachelor's degree for it.
No, a student with only having 12th qualified is not eligible to appear for AFCAT examination. One also need to have graduated to participate in AFCAT examination.
According to the eligibility criteria, one needs to have 60% in 12th with physics and mathematics and qualified graduation or engineering with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.
How this helps, best of luck.
