An IAS officer gets their own car which is provided by the Government. But the perk of an IAS officer's car is only limited to their job. They cannot use these cars for their personal use.

If they wish to use these cars for their personal use then they have to apply for permission and even pay a minimal fee. They can buy their own cars for their personal use.
