can chemical engineering apply the cds exam and 3rd year student apply or not ?
Hello,
You are currently in your third year of graduation in chemical engineering. Any student of any engineering branch can appear for CDS exam. CDS is conducted twice a year for the selection of students in IMA (Indian Military Academy), INA (Indian Naval Academy), AFA (Air Force Academy) and OTA (Officers Training Academy).
You can appear for CDS when you are in your final year if the degree, that means if you are in a program of 4 years then you can give paper from 7th semester. After clearing of exam you'll be called for SSB and finally if your name appears in the final merit list then you'll be given your call letter from the academy you have been chosen for. And your term in the academy will be starting when your 4 year degree program ends.
Apart from CDS if you are from technical background you can appear for other technical entries of Indian Army and Indian Navy.
I hope that this have answered your question. If still have any doubts feel free to ask. And all the best for your preparation.
Dear Pranav Pratiyush
1) 3rd year students can't apply, so try in your final year or after passing out.
2) Students from any branch of engineering may apply, but the college should be AICTE certified
Being an engineering student, you are eligible for IMA, INA and AFA
Best of Luck!
