Hello,

First of all to brief you about both the exams, the eligibility criteria for UPSC is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, candidates need to attain 21 years as on 1st August of the appearing year, the upper age limit is 32 years for general category, there is relaxation in terms of age criteria offered to reserved categories,

now coming to eligibility criteria for CDS as follows-

Indian Millitary Academy it's passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized University, age limit is 19 to 24 years,

Indian Naval Academy, it's passed graduation in engineering from a recognized University, age limit is 19 to 24 years,

Air Force Academy, it's passed graduation in engineering  or in any discipline from a recognized University having mathematics and physics at 10+2 level, age limit is 19 to 24 years,

Officers' Training Academy, it's passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized University, age limit is 19 to 25 years,

If you fulfill the aforementioned eligibility criteria then you can appear for both exams, but if you qualify you cannot join both , you have to choose either one of the two.
