Yes, you can clear CAT only with the help of self-study, it is hard but not impossible. Ashish Sen who secured the 99.99 percentile in CAT 2020, says that self-study brings in the difference while you prepare yourself for the CAT exam
But if you need proper guidance and someone who you need to push harder towards your goal, then lease surely go for coaching. it may decrease your self-study time but also be worth t and help you score better.
