NDA exam will be conducted twice in a year by UPSC. Both are same by exam pattern, syllabus,selection procedure etc.

NDA I Exam - In the month of April.
NDA II Exam- In the month of August.

You don't have to appear for NDA1 to appear for NDA2, they're independent exams. You can appear for NDA2, the only difference is the dates.
