Hello Harshit. BFIA is a yet another course for the commerce students specially focusing on financial studies. Students looking forward to grow in finacial sector may take this course.
If you have already opted for this course and want to pursue CA then you should must know these points:
-CA is a much different course than BFIA. Although the main route is commerce and the subjects are also common to some extent. Like economics , business studies, accounts etc but it will be very vast in CA.
-You can obviously do CA along with BFIA , but it can give you a burden, because the syllabus of CA is very vast and it gives you the full information about its subjects. So you will find so many chapters or books common in both the courses, which will make your CA course a bit easier but not by too much.
-First of all you will have to clear the first stage that is foundation, but if you have completed your graduation then you can directly come to the second stage which is intermediate.
-And foundation the subjects are: accounting, business management, quantitative aptitude (maths), law and economics.
-After that in intermediate there are two groups group 1 and group 2. Four subjects in each group.
-In group 1 subjects are as financial accounting, law, cost accounting and taxation.
-In group 2 subjects are as, advanced accounting auditing, direct tax , indirect tax and cost management.
-And their are almost double the syllabus in finals which also consists of two groups.
-Also the main point in this is that there is no limitation of number of attempts you take to complete CA.
-Talking about the fees then it is very nominal which will not create much burden on you.
-The books and study material you will get from the institute by itself.
Also if you are in Delhi then it is an advantage for you. The main or the only institute for Chartered Accountant ICAI also has a branch in Delhi and you can find a number of coaching centres for CA in Delhi. There are so many chartered accountants present there who can guide you. You must visit these institutes and join special classes for CA.
So all the best for your journey, and may you get success in your life.
