Hello,
Yes, you can pursue an Integrated Ph.D. after doing a BSc. There is a difference between a regular Ph.D. and Integrated Ph.D. If you want to do a regular Ph.D., the minimum qualification required for this course is an MSc degree. Without that, you can’t apply for it. The course duration is a minimum three years and maximum 5 years. While the candidates can apply for an Integrated Ph.D. right after completing their graduation and the duration of this course is 5 years.
The regular Ph.D. course is more time-consuming as the candidate needs to appear in two exams, one for Msc or masters and one for Ph.D. while the Integrated Ph.D. course is less time-consuming as one needs to write the entrance exam once after graduation. The Integrated Ph.D. is a research program and it is mainly for Science and engineering and Technology courses. You can also consider this course as a dual degree program for 5 years where you can study both the courses of master’s and Ph.D. In the first two years, the candidates need to study for the master’s course, and then they will focus completely on the research work or the core Ph.D. course for the coming three years.
