the basic eligibility to get admission in course B.Com . LLB (hons) in UPES dehradun is candidate must have passed 10+2 with an minimum aggregate of 50 percent marks in both 10nth and 12th from a recognized board, candidate must have cleared CLAT/LSAT exams with the minimum cutoff score, candidate who have secured an aggregate of 80 percent marks in 10nth and 12th in five core subjects (english as one of the compulsory subject) are exempted from ULSAT and that candidate should be called directly for the purpose of group discussion and personal interview.

Admission takes place through three way;
Firstly, the University conducts it's own entrance test named ULSAT for which eligibility criteria is passed 10th and 12th with 50% aggregate from a recognized board. Qualifying ULSAT,shortlisted candidates go for further rounds such as Group Discussions and Interview.
Secondly, admission is also taken on the basis of CLAT Merit/L-SAT Scores. For this eligibility criteria is candidates need to have passed 10 and 12th
with minimum 50% marks and need to secure CLAT AIR up to 15000/L-SAT India Percentile of 60 or above ,they will be exempted from ULSAT and will be invited directly for Group Discussion and Interview

So, to answer your question Maths isn't compulsory as such since there's no such mention about the same, also law as a program is one such discipline that can be pursued by people from diverse backgrounds.
