NCERT is a basic part of your preparations ,but it is not enough. For inorganic chemistry NCERT is must and also near to sufficient, but for physical and organic chemistry you need to look beyond NCERTs.You must start with NCERTs in organic and physical also but solve questions from some other standard books
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
Many of the questions asked in the chemistry section are directly from the n.c.e.r.t books specifically that from the inorganic section and a few from the organic section. However you will have to go deep into the book and must mark important points and questions that can be probably asked.
You can cover the NCERT and will able to get good marks..but for 110+ you have to focus more on chapters like equilibrium, chemical kinetics, thermo, atomic structure.
Some more tips:
Memorize the formulas for Physical Chemistry and practice them a lot
Study all the reactions in Organic Chemistry in JEE syllabus and please understand and memorize the mechanism those reactions follow!!
Mechanism of a reaction is very important in Organic Chemistry
studying NCERT is enough for Inorganic Chemistry. 80% of the questions asked in JEE from Inorganic are from NCERT only.
Solve a lot of Previous Year Questions
Study Inorganic Chemistry repeatedly
I'd suggest a very simple strategy, the 50% strategy. Target 15 correct Questions, only 15.
Now how do you solve 15 questions correctly in JEE Mains(60 Marks)-
Know your strengths- Inorganic, Physical, or Organic.
If its Organic, then you must try to focus on the other two.
2 Hours Daily, devoted to Chemistry.
If you are a Boards aspirant as well, then things get more simple, as you must complete the class 12th Portion of Chemistry very well, which will help you in jee mains.
Hello
Chemical Thermodynamics
- First law of thermodynamics – Concept of work, heat internal energy and enthalpy, heat capacity, molar heat capacity
- Hess’s law of constant heat summation
- Enthalpies of bond dissociation, combustion, formation, atomization, sublimation, phase transition, hydration, ionization and solution
- Second law of thermodynamics
- Spontaneity of processes
- DS of the universe and DG of the system as criteria for spontaneity, Dgo (Standard Gibbs energy change) and equilibrium constant
