hi abhishek, you still have 5 months time and if you work smart, you can really score well easily, i will tell you how to prepare

Physics and chemistry- physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too

Biology- in neet around 300 marks are from ncert text book itself, thats how it was when i gave my exam, so u need to thorough ncert first and then read any good book of your choice and solve as many questions as you can, always stay calm , cool and confident, hope this helps good luck buddy

Hi,

Firstly try to focus on important topics ur good at, like suppose 4 questions r asked in electronics, nly 2 will be easy,in other words 90% of students will answer those 2. This difference decides your scoring ability.

People tend to think they're thorough in a particular chapter by studying it's theory alone. Practice related problems in it. By February, do mock tests and full portion tests. Don't lose ur interest studies.

Good luck

Hey Abhishek

You can crack NEET 2018 in 5 months preparation.

As you have mentioned, you are a dropper therefore you have studied all the topics of 11th and 12th atleast once. Now, start revising those topics by attempting topic wise tests so that you can judge your weak areas and study those from the DLP.

Otherwise, you can study the topics from the DLP and attempt the test of the topics you covered.Go for the way which suits you.

Rectify all your mistakes in the tests, clear all your doubts and practice your weak areas.

This will build a very strong foundation and you will be able to have all your topics at par.

In the last month's, when you have completed the course, Attempt full course tests based on NEET pattern.

Study regularly and keep on improving your marks with every test you attempt.

Work hard and Cheer up!! Hard work always yearns and you will definitely be able to secure a medical seat next year.

All the best!! Mention your doubts in the comments below.

Hello Abhishek,

Study the concepts in depth, don't read superficially.

Try to clock 100 hours a week. That is the ideal time, but if you are multitasking then try making atleast 6 hours a day, i.e 50 hours a week, and even if it's little time try to grasp concepts and revise.

Maintain your health

Sleep is crucial, else you'll get exhausted before time.

Form a study group, discuss with friends

Stay motivated.

No pain no gain, you won't get this opportunity again. Make the most of it.

Donot waste time, invest time.

Revisions are the most important

It is said that hand written notes are well remembered than printed material, make your own notes, keep reading it again and again.

The best books you can refer to are the NCERT,

For biology, refer the following.

1) Trueman's Biology vol 1 and vol 2

2) Dinesh- Objective biology

3) Pradeep publication Biology

4) GRB'S Publication Biology.

For Physics refer to he following books.

1) H.C.Verma - Concepts of Physics.

2) D.C Pandey - Objective Physics.

3) Fundamentals of physics by Walker

4) Problems in Physics by I.E.Irodov

For chemistry you can refer the following books

1) O.P Tandon - Physical Chemistry

2) Morrison and Boyd - Organic Chemistry

3) Modern ABC's of chemistry

4) J.D.Lee Inorganic chemistry

5) Dinesh

Ncerts are mandatory to have, refer the rest of the books and find out which one suits you. I would advice you not to buy all the books but to refer them and see which one is better for you.

In the end it doesn't depend upon which book is better but how good can you understand the concepts

Also, for the general knowledge subscribe magazines, they will be useful.

Hope this helps.

Goodluck!

I'd like to begin with a very small real life example of a student (who happens to be my roommate today!), who joined BDS course right after her class 12 simply because she wasn't able to score good enough for pursuing MBBS. Everything was fine until one fine day, right in the middle of the month of December when she realized that all that she wanted to pursue was MBBS. And so it began, this female had barely 4 months to study, she joined a coaching institution for some conceptual help and that was all. The results? Well, today she is my batchmate, pursuing MBBS.

If 4 months of sincere work got her what she wanted, maybe 5 months of concentrated efforts will definitely fetch you what you want!

Regarding time management, work on your weak areas, if physics is one of them, then practice alone is the key. Chemistry and Biology also need consistent reading, your mentor should help you figure it out.

Keep working, stay optimistic!
