Hello dear..
- Number of students appearing : There has been an increase of 17% in the number of students appeared as compared to last year.
- Increase in the number of seats : This year MCI has increased around 1000 seats all over India with new colleges comimg up.
- Paper difficulty level : This year the paper was more or less same to last year’s paper with physics being lengthy and bio being easier than last year.
- Inclusion of AP and Telangana: Both the states have been included in AIQ counselling this year. But along with it, their 300–400 medical seats have also come in the central pool.
So if you consider all these factors, point 1 and 3 tend to increase cutoff while point 2 and 4 tend to decrease it. So the cutoffs will be slightly higher than the previous year's cutoff.
In 2017, AIQ cutoff was around 557 so this year it will be around 560
