The answer to your questions is Yes, you can apply for IAS after completion of your integrated course of B.A/B.ed. Anyone can apply for the civil services examination irrespective of their stream(science, commerce, arts).The only requirements that need to be fullfiled before applying for this examination are.
1. You must have a bachelor's degree from a known institute.
2. You must be atleast 21 years old.
The reason behind someone saying this statement was that because most of the people generally pursue their career in teaching field after completion of their integrated course.
